Key Stage 3 - Years 7 & 8
Key Stage 3 finished the term with much excitement celebrating their success with a high number of students enjoying the experience of going ice skating together. For many this was the first time they had skated, and it was a pleasure to witness how Brave they were, and the Kindness shown to each other during slips and slides.
Both year groups returned from the holidays with renewed energy and with a desire to want to do their best. They have embraced challenges in lessons and new opportunities Bolder continues to offer students during this half term.
During assemblies’ students have listened and interacted with talks from the Police on knife crime and how to stay safe in the community. Also attending workshops on Anti- Extremism which students reported was interesting and thought provoking.
Year 8 have attended Coding workshops delivered by our business partner Sky. Students reported:
‘It was inspirational and learning how coding can increase creativity.’ (quote from Lucas D 8M) Also a workshop from Sparx Careers – Heathrow which was extremely informative for the students enabling them to start thinking about career choices.
Weekly celebrations and shouts outs for students take place every Monday during PD.
This half term we congratulate 7C and 8C on achieving the most positive house points. We shared their success during a celebration reward breakfast on Tuesday February 11th.
I would like to this opportunity to thank parents and carers for their ongoing support firmly believing that strong communication and teamwork is key to supporting student’s achievement and success.

Key Stage 4 - Years 9, 10 & 11
We strongly believe in working with our parents and carers to ensure our young people are supported as best as they can be. Ensuring our young people leave us with the tools they need to be successful in the next stages of their lives is our ultimate goal, but we can’t do it without our amazing parents and carers supporting us. So we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support, it is always lovely to see you turn up to our Coffee Mornings as we believe they have a vital part to play in developing the relationship between home and school.
We can’t wait to see all of you again for our Coffee Morning on Tuesday 4th March, 09.30-10.30am.
