As part of our commitment to sustainable transport and improved air quality, we ask students to walk, cycle or use public transport to get to the Academy.
Car
There are no drop-off facilities for students arriving by car as the road is narrow and there are no formal turning areas. Please do not drive down the road or wait at Goals.
If you need to bring your child to school by car, please use our 'Park and Stride' arrangement with Tesco.
You can drop your child off in the Tesco car park, and they can walk down MacFarlane Lane to school. Please follow the same arrangement for pick-ups in the afternoon.

Two bus services run along the Great West Road - close to Bolder Academy:

School Only Bus
From September 2024, TFL have advised us that they will be operating a new bus route for students. The 618 will run to serve Bolder Academy and Nishkam School. The bus service will carry out one journey in each direction.
Monday to Friday
The bus will depart from Ivybridge Estate at 07:45am, aiming to arrive at Bolder for 8:25am.
Monday to Thursday
The bus will depart from Bolder Academy at 4pm.
Wednesdays
The bus will depart from Bolder Academy at 3.10pm.
Friday
The bus will depart from Bolder Academy at 1:40pm.

Trains
Syon Lane station is a 5 minute walk.
Bike
There are a series of cycle paths and dual use paths on the approaches to Bolder Academy. We have a large sheltered bike park to the rear of the building where you can lock your bike (a D- lock is recommended). Remember that all students cycling to school should wear a helmet and have working lights for dusk and dawn. Look out our for cycling safety session that are arranged through the term.
