Year 7 Netball Team Shows Strength and Progress in Narrow Defeat
The Year 7 Netball team put in a valiant performance on Tuesday, 28th January, in a closely contested match against Lampton School. Despite challenging weather conditions, including strong winds and relentless rain, the girls showed resilience and determination but ultimately fell to a narrow 2-0 defeat.
While the result didn’t go their way, the team demonstrated massive improvements from their last game. Their movement, communication, and defensive play were stronger than ever, proving that their hard work in training is paying off. It won’t be long before they secure a much-deserved victory in their first year of competition.
Not only did they battle the elements with bravery and strength, but they also embodied our values by showing kindness and sportsmanship, congratulating their opponents at the final whistle. Their positive attitude and fighting spirit continue to be an inspiration, and we are confident their first win is just around the corner.
Well done, girls - keep up the great work!
Y8 Football Team Shows Skill, Determination, and Bolder Values!
Our Year 8 football team has had a fantastic season so far, displaying great teamwork and dedication in their recent fixtures.
In a thrilling match against Green School, the team battled hard to secure a 3-2 victory, showing resilience and attacking creativity. They followed this with a well-earned 2-2 draw against a very well-drilled Nishkam side, demonstrating strong defensive discipline and teamwork.
Beyond the results, what truly stood out was how all the students—both in fixtures and training—embodied the Bolder Values of being Brave, Kind, and Strong. They played with bravery, never backing down from a challenge, kindness, supporting their teammates and showing great sportsmanship, and strength, both physically and mentally, in every match and training session.

Bolder Academy hosts Hounslow Primary School Kurling competition
On Thursday, 6th February, Bolder Academy proudly hosted the Hounslow Year 3/4 New-Age Kurling competition, bringing together young athletes from across the borough for an exciting and inclusive sporting event.
New-Age Kurling is an adapted version of traditional curling, designed to be played indoors on a smooth surface. Using specially designed stones on wheels, players aim to slide their stones as close as possible to a target, requiring skill, precision, and teamwork. The sport is accessible to all and encourages strategic thinking and coordination.
The event was expertly run by Bolder Academy’s Year 8 Sports Captains, who did an outstanding job coaching the children, officiating matches, and keeping score. Their leadership and enthusiasm helped create a fun and supportive environment for all participants.
Thank you to Sports Impact for organising the competition and the positive feedback regarding the performance of the Sports Captains.
